1 Webinar: PrAna - R package to calculate & visualize NHS primary care prescribing data
I’m delighted to share with you a talk (Webinar) I recently gave on Wednesday, 17th August 2022. The talk, now available for viewing on YouTube, is centred around PrAna, an R package that has significantly transformed the way we analyse England NHS primary care prescribing data.
PrAna is an R package that calculates and visualizes England NHS prescribing data. It’s a tool that has been instrumental in my work, particularly in the development of the PERK tool, which predicts and visualizes environmental concentration and risk using pharmaceutical prescription data collected at fine spatial resolution.
In the talk, I discuss the inspiration behind PrAna, the challenges we faced during its development, and how it has transformed the way we understand and interpret complex datasets. I also share some real-world applications of PrAna, demonstrating its versatility and power in tackling a wide range of research questions.
The talk concludes with a Q&A session, where I answer questions from the audience about PrAna, its applications, and future developments.
